In ELA, We finished our Natural Disaster papers! They turned out amazing. Our experiments will happen after SBAC testing. Reading has been focused on building background knowledge to understand a wide range of topics through making thoughtful connections. Lastly, we have been doing SBAC prep prior to developing test-taking skills. As we wrap up the school year, all 4th graders will pick a topic of their choice to create an end of the year presentation.

We have spent the last few weeks finishing our state and district testing. Our kids are working hard and showing great progress in their skills in both Math and ELA. This week we also take our science test. As we wrap up these assessments, we will be working on using all our skills in different projects and activities to continue our learning throughout the next month.
Our Dance Showcase is coming up quickly! May 31st we will be at Bremerton High School in the gym at 5:00. Students need to report by 4:45. Our classes have gone all out and you don't want to miss it!
End of the year activities are starting to get scheduled. Be sure your student has returned their permission slips for the June 3rd field trip to the middle school. More information will be coming home soon about all the other end of the year fun!

Join us for our kinder musical on May 22nd at 2:45 in the View Ridge Gym, our 3rd grade musical on May 29 at 6pm at BHS PAC and our K/5th dance showcase on May 31st at the BHS gym at 5pm.

Kindergarten - We are putting the finishing touches on our Kindergarten Musical Three Piggy Opera and are excited to share it with you. Our performance will be on May 22, 2025 at 2:45 in the View Ridge Gym. Hope to see you there.
First Grade - Our May focus will be on singing Sol Mi and La and playing rhythms with accuracy. We will practice these skills by singing and playing musical arrangements that use ostinatos to perform 3 part songs.
Second Grade - This month we will learn about measures and time signatures and sing and play rhythms in 3 different meters.
Third Grade - In May we continuing preparing for our musical Summer Camp. Our performance will be on May 29, 2025 at 6:00 pm at the Bremerton High School Performing Arts Center.
Fourth Grade - This month we will continue to work on West African Marimba songs on the xlophones. Marimba music allows us to practice our steady beat, rhythm and mallet technique by playing ostinatos.
Fifth Grade - In May we will continue learning the Soprano Recorder with a focus on reading and playing the notes B A G.
