Allyson West

Meet our New Assistant Principal Allyson West

I’m thrilled to introduce myself as the new Assistant Principal serving both Armin Jahr and View Ridge Elementary Schools. It’s an honor to join these amazing teams and support the important work we do for students and families each day.
I come to this role with a deep commitment to equity, collaboration, and creating environments where all students and staff can thrive.
I’ve spent the past 13 years in elementary education, most recently in the South Kitsap School District. When I’m not at school, you’ll likely find me hiking, paddle boarding, or curled up with a good book. I live with my husband, our son, and our two sweet (and occasionally wild) dogs.
I can’t wait to meet you all soon!

 
Ice Cream Social

Back to School Social

We are excited to kick off the year together at our Back to School Ice Cream Social on Thursday, August 28th, from 3:30–5:00 PM.
All families are welcome! Come meet your child’s teacher, explore classrooms, drop off school supplies, and enjoy a frozen treat with our community.

Office hours for Summer!

Office hours are 8:00-3:00, Monday thru Friday August 18th-August 29th.
The office will be closed on August 27th for training.
 
New building

Bond Info

Our new school will be built adjacent to our current school, allowing students to continue learning in the existing school while the new school is built.
Construction begins in fall 2025!

Groundbreaking is set for September 10th! More information to come!

 Estimated completion date: December 2026!

Kindergarten Updates

Kindergarten first day is Sept 8th. Your teacher will be setting up family conferences at our Back to School Night on August 28th. If you are unable to attend please give the office a call to schedule your meeting. 360-473-4500.

Demographic Updates

Please be on the look out for our annual demographic updates! We have tried to streamline it a bit more this year to make it more user friendly and time efficient.

Volunteering in Our School

We are excited to have you volunteer! Please fill out and submit the application as soon as possible. Once received and completed by the district, you will receive an email confirming your application. Should you have any questions please feel free to call or email Keely Johnson at keely. johnson@bremertonschools.org.
 

Reminders

Office Reminders

Student drop off is 8:55 at the earliest. We do not have supervision prior to that.
Please pick up students promptly at the end of the day. We have had a lot of students picked up late.
Lastly, please remember attendance is very important. Click here for our attendance awareness letter. If your student is going to be absent please let the office know. 360-473-4507.
